The total financial help that Rainfer receives annually from the government only covers the sanctuary’s expenditure of a month and a half. Consequently, we depend completely on financial support received from donations from people, company donations, events and activities such as guided tours to the sanctuary (limited groups), organised conferences and primatological courses, educational visits for schools and colleges, and the merchandise we sell (t-shirts, posters, stuffed toys, etc.).
The necessity of finding constant funds is paramount. Providing care for these rescued primates and others that come from similar desperate situations and working towards the conservation of the species is very costly.
Due to the lack of incomes, at Rainfer we need help to continue our work and guarantee these primates their home and all attention they need. Please, help our sanctuary.
A simple and effective way to help is by MAKING A DONATION. Any contribution given you will be providing a huge difference to the lives of these animals and ensuring a future for them.

Our work would not be possible without the help of our volunteers. They are essential in completing the daily routine of taking care of the animals.
The volunteers need to be in good physical condition in order to perform the necessary tasks, as well as being motivated, energetic and show a high level of responsibility.
Due to the physical and/or psychological traumas that some of the primates sadly have, it is essential that the volunteers demonstrate high emotional maturity and optimism.
It is expected that the volunteers demonstrate good team work skills, as well as the ability to carry out tasks individually. It is not necessary to have any prior experience or knowledge in the field of primatology. We do, however, expect the volunteers to commit fully to the agreed program.
The volunteer programs allow people to learn about the problems these animals face, as well as helping out in the rehabilitation and conservation of over of 20 different species of primates (approximately 110 primates in total).
